Mug Collections!
Posted by BrokenVoid on October 2, 2019 at 12:43 pmI just realized we don’t have a topic to show off any mugs that people have collected. How did we not have a mug topic?!?! Anyway, here you can show off your AGP mugs, fandom mugs, decorative mugs, or just plain mugs that you really like. I’ll be sure to get a picture of my small collection once I get home today.

@Connielass I appreciate the Hershey ones, but the tall one with lemons looks especially cosy.
My family has a large assortment of mugs, but there are a few of them that are mine alone, and I use them only for myself or friends. These all live on their own shelf, and may be slightly dusty right now because summer is not optimal mug season.
These two are my “Squad Mugs”. Every year my friend group buys a set of matching mugs and splits them up to give to each of the “Squad”. There’s another one around here somewhere but I’ve misplaced it. I also used the one with the polar bear in the Consolitary Teatime spell.
This one is self explanatory, yes? Phase 3 of TMP was when I really started to feel like a piece of something important so when I had the opportunity to pick out a few pieces of merch, I had to get the Cosmos print in some form. This one frequently disappears from my shelf as Little Brother #1 has taken a liking to it.
This one was a present from my parents. It is especially useful because of the built in tea infuser and saucer, but I always forget how tall it is and pour more tea than I want to drink.
These aren’t technically mugs but I feel like they belong in this thread. This collection is sort of a collaboration between me and Dad. We don’t use half of them enough to justify this, but we are always on the lookout for more. The black one no longer has a handle and the frosted one is missing a lid but we love them anyway. My favourite is the red one. It was given to me as a Christmas present and it’s just so pretty. I’m not a huge fan of the bird on the front, but it’s large, red, and kettle shaped so that more than makes up for it. The clear one with the black lid sees the most everyday use though, as the built in infuser is very practical.

Just a small collection at the moment, but it grows slowly. Im particularly fond of the bug one because my girlfriend’s mom got two of them: one for me to keep and one for them to keep at their house so that I always have my own mug to use there. The Moonlite-All-Nite Diner one (from Welcome to Night Vale) was the first that I got so I really like that one too. I mainly added the plain one in the back just for symmetry.

I got that one in a little store on Mackinaw Island in Michigan.

My favorites are the Mystery Cup and the Love is Dog Food.

Late night baking seemed like a good time to take out some of the mugs. (Space is tight, so several pics)
(Left is notable because I got it from one of the directors I stage managed for in college, other two are self-explanatory)
(The black one morphs to show the Sorting Hat and its bit about Ravenclaw)
(Mountie mugs! Tinker got me the wee gnome as part of the St. Auggie gift exchange)
(Current travel mugs; gray is from one of those college care packages, Disney is from my race weekend trip) (Also did not realize how blurry that one came out
)
