WhaaaaAAAAA. You’re a player? Or just a viewer? Im a diplomat in house FORNAX. :0
-
Just a viewer! I love it as a concept and game though, it’s a really fascinating world(s?)
-
Yeah! I totally agree. The faction turn is… well, ill be completely honest: its horrifically stressful, but at least it makes for awesome viewing.

I don’t write or compose music…but I could maybe record some of my fiddle practice soon…
-
Oh well… I think I’ve complimented you enough, @Cj_Heighton
I honestly have nothing to record the music with (and definitely no voice), yet I’ve got some snippets recorded with my friend – might upload them to YouTube only not to lose them from my phone.
For now, I can share the pieces I wrote some time ago (both lyrics and music are by me).
(Literally no clue how to embed videos from mobile, sorry :3)

I do a lot of my own compositions (cause I take modules in it), but I also like to arrange stuff. My Youtube and Soundcloud both really need to be redone as I have much better sound libraries now and new branding. But until then, here’s one piece from my youtube:
And here’s two I’ve just finished workign on for Uni that will eventually go up once they’ve been marked. The first one everything you here except the background drones is me:
Also, we really need to do a Mountie collaberation!

I’m inspired by all these amazing contributions so…
Friday Shareday! @Mike and I have been friends for about 160 years and we have a musical we’ve been eking out over the past decade. Here’s a bit of a demo from my iPhone. It’s the end of a ballad called How We Find A Way, sung by me, accompanied with piano and harmonies by my hubs, Matty.
And yes, I totally rhymed “island” with “dry land” and no thanks are necessary.
-
Hello sorry I just died after listening to that because it was so good and HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS @CJB
Oh my!!
First off, I love the song. Second, I didn’t need more reasons for you and Matty to be goals but here we are. Third, what can’t you do? Seriously!
-
You shouldn’t have to, but I definitely understand! Just know you’ll always have support here in this awesome community you’ve created ^-^
@Nimueh you constantly blow me away with your compositions. I always need moooorrrreeee. I especially like the last one!
@Drus woah! Those were super cool! What an interesting way to upload music as well. I wish I had any talent on the piano at all so huge kudos to you.
-
I’m in a very basic stage of bedroom pop with my music lately, but I’ve only recorded one original song so far
I’d like to hear what you guys think!
-
oh my gosh, Jin (is it okay to call you that @jinyinhua?), your voice is beautiful. You have that gravely tone that gives that feel that you’ve been through so much, and it fits so perfectly with the lyrics. It’s just… beautiful. And for the first time in over a month, I actually want to write music again. You’ve insipred me.
and @CJB Omg, you have one hell of a broadway tenor voice on you!
-
I’m flattered ^///^ And yes! Calling me Jin is perfectly fine
-

-
@CJB oh LORD thats good. You guys just chill and record stuff? Thats awesome! 0w0
@Nimueh theres so little proper non vocal work out there these days, its so cool to hear original non vocal work being put out!
@Drus we both know enough about each others work by now, lets be honest, but its still so cool to hear your work properly x3
@jinyinhua thats super good for amateur recording, its already usable as a sellable quality track! Id say the song gets away from you a bit during the “oohhh” parts, but otherwise it sounds really professional and well made!
-
Thank you! I only recorded the entire thing in one go, so I didn’t really do much to it ^^”

After so long I’m finally able to post in this thread! I don’t know why it took so long to get a good video of a performance
.
This was taken as a request from the audience.
-
Bringing this back up as we have a load of new people coming in (and I’m being selfish and wanting some opinions on a couple of new tracks…). Just put some new stuff on soundcloud!
-
@Nimueh Have at thee! I TOO wrote music! Haha! >:3!
Edit: followed you! I have an old account but i might begin reuploading my youtube stuff so i have more places available.
-
Okay, you got me, this is awesome. I’ll say this again, we reeeeeeeeeeeeeally need a mountie collab.
-
-
100%. I contribute vocals, basic guitar, you do mastering and backing? :3
-
Hang on, maybe get a thread together and we’ll see if we can get a full on project going?
-
-
I can’t write anything to save my life, but I can sing most anything.
I don’t really have anything recorded or anything though.
-
So… hm. I found a really cool song, and i wanna record it, but i dont do tablature. Anyone here wanna be an absolute lunatic and translate the tabs to chords for me? Id owe you. Spotify
-
I totally would have done it but I put nail extensions on both hands this time
can’t do fretboard with claws on.
-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jH0FRY4PpmY&feature=youtu.be real proud of this one, took me a grand total of 10 minutes once i started, just kept coming and i had pretty much 0 hesitation writing it.

If you’re into pop culture you’ve probably heard of songtexte, the tiny text hidden within your favorite song’s lyrics. In the medieval era, lyrics were an important feature of the music you here : https://songtexte.bz/

I recently discovered the Welsh song “Dacw ‘Nghariad,” from the early 1900s. Eve Goodman has a beautiful arrangement of it, and this is my cover of her arrangement. I only speak a small bit of Welsh but I’m learning and I love the sound of it. I thought I would post here to show how it’s coming along, since I know there are at least one or two Welsh speakers around the forum.
